Probably going to pick up another Cherokee Sport or maybe a beater Wrangler with the 4.0 in time for next winter. So much fun.

I like Jeeps. They are the opposite of my usual car style (light and sporty), but they are iconic in a way few other American cars are...and they look like a good time.

I know that feel. I want another Cherokee really really bad!

I bet those steel wheels rusted the first winter and never looked the same.

Got this guy at the beginning of the summer for decently cheap. Spent all summer working on it. Got to spend a few glorious months with the top off. Now it is my unbeatable winter tank. Love the thing. It's the polar opposite of my BRZ.
That said. Good luck finding a "beater wrangler with the 4.0" even broken 4 cyl go for over two grand around here. Running examples with small amounts of rust go for ridiculous prices. As you get closer to spring the prices skyrocket. When I decide to spend some cash on a better example I think I am going to buy in fall/end of summer when the prices are lower. Eventually I want to upgrade to the 4.0 but I couldn't justify the ridiculous cost of it when I was buying this one.
EDIT: oh god my grammar.

Your going to make me weep like a 8yo school girl at my desk.... the wound is still very open... but selling my Cherokee has opened the door for very lofty ambitions: This will be my next jeep after I get my commuter falcon:

This was me as well until 2 years ago. Finally bit the bullet and because of the New England winters, bought a '96 Cherokee with the 4.0L and 5 speed.
Never looked back. Jeep quickly became the DD.

I credit my girlfriend with getting me into Jeeps. When we met, I hated them, because all I'd done with them before was fix them for other people. Fast forward three years and we have three Cherokees, and I LOVE 'em. I'll park them next to my other cars any day. Soon enough, we're looking to add YJ or TJ Wrangler to the pack. Good times will be had.

Amazing.
Post up a pic of the full stable sometime soon!

Yeah, I know. I'll probably end up with another Cherokee Sport because cost, but we'll see. I'm trolling hard on the wrangler forums classifieds, haha.

Yeah! Mine was a 96 as well; solid. 3in lift, 30.5in tires...so much fun.

Nice! That is absolutely gorgeous.

Our current DD waiting on some 33's.
Our in-progress trail rig
We actually don't have pictures of the other one, for some reason.

Sexy.
Mine was white as well, with a black grill and the plastic flares. I loved it.
How much lift do you have on the DD? I don't think I could have cleared anything bigger than 31's with my 3in lift.

Thank you. It's only got a 1" lift right now. Soon we're going with a 3". So far my understanding is that once you go above 3" or 3.5", you need a SYE. We had some pretty wide 33's on her with the lift we have now, and she was fine then, if you're not very likely to bottom out very often.

Nice!
That's good to know about going over 3/3.5 - I have no experience with lifts larger than that, so good to keep in mind.

Hell yeah. Well let me know if you're having trouble with anything else, the girlfriend and I have been balls-deep in three of them now, so maybe we'll save you some mistakes we made lol. Happy wheeling bro!
